Your episode summary scares me. If a little kid dies of a subdermal hematoma in this anime as well I’ll never forgive you.

Bah, secret’s too easy, they’ve been hinting at it for the whole series.

thanks for the release. On another note, i was wondering if someone could help me out, I’m having trouble with Episode 5 at 3:02-3:14. the video slows down and when it catches up i get pix-elation. The problem is that it happens at the same spot all the time(also on another episode that i cant recall after episode 5). Is this happening to anyone else? I don’t get the problem when i play the video on VLC so im wondering if there’s something i need to do in the cccp settings? Any help will be appreciated. (CCCP settings are at default, and i haven’t updated them with latest release because i will be changing Main OS harddrive real soon)

@Tamashii: 11 will be here soon. Our QC is currently trying to make sense of the mess I made out of the script. XD

@FlashGordon: I can sympathize! Anyway, take your time, I’m just glad you finally subbed this. I was wondering what could I do to help you, but, when I saw the .ASS file, I just got demotivated.

Thanks very much for the episode. I’m still gun-shy from my prior dressing-down, but (/gulp) anyway… I’m too clueless as to the nuances of why Roma called her “Oumi-kun” (@9:50) (vs. -chan or -san). Just general helplessness?

And @ Tappen – No, ep.12 ends with goat butlers slaughtering the literature club; Mihoshi tells Fuumin to “slice up those cow tits of yours and make me a sandwich.”

Thank you again for subbing this series, it’s definitely tied with Bakemonogatari as my favorite of the season. Keep up the great work.

Out of curiosity, do you take your screename from that line of English in the Kamen Rider Agito opening song?

“Here we go, count zero. Kamen Rider Agito!”

@Dark – hakuna matata; I was being mostly facetious about my mortification. My day job requires me to be professionally rude to most people, so I have a thick skin. It’s just I’m not totally aware of the nuances of the fansub culture. And I hate appearing oafish or clueless.

That said, RELEASE EPISODE 11 NOW, MOTHERF*CKER!!

    Where do you work?

    Or… what do you do?

Come to think of it, just get on IRC and send me a query. ^.^

    @rekki

In Japan, it’s pretty common for addressing someone of the equal or lower status/power (usually used among colleagues) with a “-kun.” It’s neither rude nor too formal and appending “-chan” usually refers to a child or a non-formal or friendly (as in a way a friend calls another friend) way of addressing a female acquaintance. Appending “-san” is a formal way of addressing someone. You would also append “-san” when you’re talking about/to someone of a superior status.

President Roma can address President Oumi as “Oumi-san” but he doesn’t. Both “-san” and “-kun” are acceptable. The suffix “-kun” isn’t just for addressing a male.

I hope that cleared your confusion.

Thanks a million, blak -it’s one of those things I just didn’t know. I’m a lawyer, btw; and don’t have a clue ’bout them newfangled IRC tubes.

Mr. Successful, eh? All right. This is the easy way to get on IRC… A browser-based solution.

    1. Go to http://mibbit.com/irc/
    2. Where it says IRC: Mibbit [webirc] , click the dropdown box and select Rizon [webirc] . (Protip: When you open up the dropdown box, you can simply type in r to get transported to the section with r’s in it instead of having to scroll down.)
    3. Under Nick: it should say mib_FASD@#SF or something similar. (Yes, I did just write gibberish for the ending.) Change that to whatever you want to go by. Rekki would probably work. It seems like an uncommon name. Your choice, though.
    4. Under Channel: put #koharubi . Yes. The # is intentionally put there.
    5. Now click Go .
    6. Okay. Now you’re on our channel. You’re about to be blasted by a bright array of colors and people offering you sexual services. Or maybe they just offer that to me cuz I’m so damn sexy. Err… Yeah, back on topic. Now you’re in the channel. Click Idlers on the right hand of the screen to bring up the list of people in the channel.
    7. You’re gonna see a bunch of names followed by some symbols. Click on Dark_Sage once and choose PM.
    8. A new tab will pop up. Send me a message.

You can switch back to the main chat anytime. It’s kind of lonely now with college having started and everything, though. It should be relatively easy to do. ’specially for a genius lawyerman.

However, it might take me a bit to get back to you, especially today, and with mibbit being a browser-based client, you’re probably gonna exit out of it so I can’t respond to you… But we’ll work something out. I’m still a wet-behind-the-ears college student, so I’m working/in class from 8 to 8 today with very few breaks.

I don’t really feel like typing up how to get on it with a program (mIRC), but I’ll tell you how to do it if you can find me on IRC through Mibbit or whatever. Oh, and it’s kind of handy to have IRC as most fansub groups operate through it. I’m sure we’re not the only group you like, so you could talk to those other groups you like too!

Wow, I’m honored (seriously) – it’s a shame I’m so irreverent that I can’t genuinely express my appreciation. But you’ve unleashed a demon… I’ll be hassling my colleagues & kin via IRC … if only I understood how these tubes work.

And @blak – I really DIDN’T know you could address a female with -kun. Sort of a “der/die” distinction in German; I wouldn’t reference my wife as “er ist” notwithstanding how tough she is.
